LAUTAREASCA

Slovo Lautar pochází z arabského lauto (loutna) či z romského lavuta/lavutaris (housle/houslista) a v dnešní rumunštině označuje profesionálního muzikanta živícího se hraním na svatbách, křtinách a dalších společenských událostech. Svižná, balkánsky laděná Lautareasca je pak taneční muzikou lautarů, motivicky postavena na turecké "klasické" muzice, tak jak ji tam hrávají velké orchestry lidových nástrojů (melodii jsem si ale vymyslel). Podobně se ovšem hrává i v Bukurešti, respektive v jižním Rumunsku. Rytmus je obecně balkánský, nejvíce se zřejmě blíží rytmům makedonským (např. Solunski Čoček). Skladbu jsem pojal jako svižný přídavkový kus, který bude muzikantům vašeho kalibru dle mého názoru slušet.

JAN ROKYTA (* 1969)

Cimbalista, flétnista, skladatel, aranžér, hudební publicista, režisér a propagátor lidové hudby. Vystudoval cimbál na konzervatoři v Bratislavě a flétnu na konzervatoři v Amsterdamu. Svou kariéru zahájil v Cimbálové muzice TECHNIK Ostrava a několik let byl stálým hostem BROLN a OĽN.* V oblasti soudobé vážné hudby spolupracoval například s nizozemským Královským orchestrem Concertgebouw, rakouskými ansámbly Wiener Philharmoniker a Klangforum Wien a řadou dalších. V současné době je hudebním redaktorem, dramaturgem a moderátorem Českého rozhlasu Ostrava, uměleckým ředitelem Mezinárodního folklorního festivalu Musica Pura a uměleckým vedoucím Ensemble FLAIR.

Kromě kariéry hudebníka se profesionálně věnuje také vínu. Je členem britské AIWS (Associated Member Institue Wine and Spirit), držitelem titulu Weinakademiker rakouské vinné akademie v Rustu, pedagogem Prague Wine Academy, pětinásobným finalistou nizozemské degustační soutěže Prix Pommery a držitelem titulu Nizozemský vinolog roku 2010.

LAUTAREASCA

The word Lautar comes from the Arabic lauto(lute) or the Romani lavuta/lavutaris(violin/violinist) and in today's Romanian it refers to a professional musician who makes a living playing at weddings, christenings and other social events. The brisk, Balkan-tinged Lautareasca is then the dance music of the lautars, its motifbased on Turkish "classical" music, as played there by large orchestras of folk instruments (but I invented the melody). However, it is played in a similar way in Bucharest and southern Romania. The rhythm is generally Balkan, most probably close to Macedonian rhythms (e.g. SolunskiČoček). I conceived the song as a nimble extra piece that will in my opinion suit musicians of your calibre.

JAN ROKYTA (* 1969)

A cimbalom-player, flutist, composer, arranger, music writer, director and promoter of folk music. He studied dulcimer at the Bratislava Conservatory and flute at the Amsterdam Conservatory. He began his career at TECHNIK Ostrava Cimbalom Band and for several years was a regular guest of BROLN and OĽN*. In the field of contemporary classical music, he has collaborated, for example, with the Dutch Royal Orchestra Concertgebouw, the Austrian ensembles Wiener Philharmoniker and Klangforum Wien, and many others. He is currently the music editor, playwright and moderator of Czech Radio Ostrava, the artistic director of the Musica Pura International Folklore Festival and the artistic director of the Ensemble FLAIR.

In addition to his career as a musician, he also devotes himself professionally to wine. He is an Associate Member of Britain's Institute of Winesand Spirits, a holder of the Weinakademiker title of the Austrian Wine Academy in Rust, a teacher at the Prague Wine Academy, a five-time finalist of the Dutch tasting competition Prix Pommeryand holder of the title 2010 Dutch Vinologist of the Year.
